Congratulations @hitormiss!Peter and the Starcatcher, based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, tells the story of how an orphan became Peter Pan. It begins previews on March 28 at the Brook Atkinson Theatre, officially opening on April 15. Co-directors Roger Rees and Alex Timbers inventive staging uses the actors as part of the set and props. I saw this show at New York Theatre Workshop and I'm looking forward to revisiting it, especially to see Christian Borle once again take on the role of Black Stache.

My favorite Peter Pan movie is the Disney movie. It's one of the first movies I remember seeing as a child.

ReplyDeleteI finally saw the stage musical of Peter Pan last Xmas, the tour with Cathy Rigby as Peter (and Tom Hewitt as Hook!) at MSG, and really enjoyed it! That might be my fave now...although I quite liked the live-action film w/ Jason Isaacs as Hook, and my all-time fave Peter-related film would be Finding Neverland, w/ Johnny Depp as J.M. Barrie, which details the creation of Peter Pan the play...simply magical! :)

My favorite version is the show, Peter and the Starcatcher; I saw it at Nytw. I have seen many incarnations of that story but this show is the first time it connected with me. I love the focus on friendship and imagination more than just belief. I'd love to see what changes they make for Broadway!

my favorite version of Peter Pan is a tossup between Hook and the Disney cartoon. but in the end, i think i have to go with hook because i love Robin Williams and who doesn't enjoy chanting RUFIO! RUFIO!

The version I did in 6th grade -- I was the second understudy for Peter Pan and one of the Indians, and it'll always have a special place in my memories. I'm eager to see Peter and the Starcatcher though!

I just might have to go with Hook as my favorite. Tho I have a video of showstopping Broadway performances that has Sandy Duncan performing Neverneverland, which is pretty kickass too

Disney's Peter Pan will always be my favorite, no doubt about it! The book series Peter & the Starcatcher is great as well. If you like the show you should definitely read the book!
