Update: The contest is now closed. Thanks to everybody who entered. The winner was picked at random. Congratulations Ryan T.! If you didn't win, check back here on Monday AND Wednesday for more contests.
It's Monday, and that means another ticket contest. This week, I am giving away a pair of tickets to The Heiress starring Jessica Chastain, David Strathairn, and Dan Stevens. The 1947 play by Ruth and Augustus Goetz is based on Henry James' Washington Square. Chastain plays Catherine Sloper, who is courted by Morris Townsend (Stevens), though her father (Strathairn) thinks he is only after her money. Previews begin October 6 at the Walter Kerr Theatre.
There are two ways to enter:
1) Comment on this blog telling me why you want to see the show.
2) Tweet about the contest or retweet one of my tweets about it.
You can enter each way once, for a total of two entries. You must be following on Twitter to win. A winner will be chosen at random from all the entries on Friday, October 5 at 5:30 p.m. Please include your e-mail address or Twitter handle in the comments so I have a way to contact you if you win. Good luck!

Same season I want to see any show...it's an interesting concept
Reason to see this: Chastain! She's been remarkable on screen, would love to see what she does on stage.
It's always fun to see how older plays hold up...and how some problems (like gold digging) never really change too much. I'd love to see the show.
I'd love to see this because I adored the last revival of it (Cherry Jones!!), and I'm a fan of Jessica Chastain's work, so I'm keen to see her tackle the role...

Huge fan of Jessica Chastain AND Dan Stevens. Putting them together in Broadway is too much of a good thing!

Dan Stevens and I are meant to be together. He simply doesn't know it yet. Seeing this show might afford him the opportunity to casually discover that.

With an assembled cast like this and a great piece of theatre like 'The Heiress', there are few reasons NOT to see it!
I love the play and I know it'll be a great part for Jessica Chastain.
Because Jessica Chastain is blossoming into a beautiful, insanely talented star. Also, JUDITH IVEY!
I'm an admirer of Chastain and Strathairn's film work and I'd be curious to see how they can translate their magnetic performances to the stage medium.
My twitter handle is @leoraheilbronn btw. Keep up the great work!
I think it has a lot of potential and would love to see Chastain live!!

DAN STEVENS JESSICA CHASTAIN JUDITH IVEY AND DAVID STRATHAIRN!!! There's 4 reasons alone!
I have always liked David Strathairn since his John Sayles films and I have not seen him on stage since 1999. Long overdue to see him. :)
Because I need Dan Stevens in my life, if only for a couple hours. @AshleyRaeBK
4 words: Downton Abbey's Cousin Matthew. @hitormiss
My friends saw it in LA and said that it was really good.
And MATTHEW CRAWLEY. Oh my goodness.
